David Curry to speak at TMA – Houston Chapter May 3, 2017 Breakfast Meeting

HOUSTON (May 3, 2017) Okin Adams LLP partner, David Curry, will join a panel of turn-around professionals to discuss the treatment of offshore plugging and abandonment/decommissioning liabilities in bankruptcy cases at the May 3, 2017, TMA Breakfast Meeting.  The panel will be moderated by John Melko, of Gardere, and other panelists include Sharon Beausoleil of Gardere, and Lindsey Johnson of Looper Goodwin.

The TMA Breakfast Meeting Panel will be held at the Junior League of Houston – Ballroom at 1811 Briar Oaks Lane, Houston, Texas 77027.  There will be a 7:30 am – 8:00 am Check-in and Networking and then immediately following with the 8:00 am – 9:00 am Breakfast and Program.


David Curry is a partner in Okin Adams LLP’s Houston office. David primarily focuses on representing debtors, creditors, including creditors’ committees, and other parties in interest through the restructuring process and in bankruptcy-related litigation. Most recently, David served as counsel to the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors in In re Black Elk Energy Offshore Operations, LLC (S.D. Tex.) and continues as general bankruptcy counsel for Richard Schmidt, Trustee the Black Elk Liquidating and Litigation-Trusts. David served as debtor’s counsel in In re Aziz Convenience Stores, L.L.C. (S.D. Tex.), which was recognized as the TMA 2016 Transaction of the Year – Mid-Sized Company.
