Johnie is a native of College Station where she received her Bachelor of Arts in History with a minor in English from Texas A&M University. Johnie graduated from the University of Houston Law Center where she was a member of the Student Bar Association, the Aggie Law Society, Houston Young Lawyer’s Association, and the University of Houston Student Ambassadors.
During her tenure at the University of Houston Law Center, Johnie spent two semesters as a clerk for the Honorable Judge Patricia Kerrigan at the 190th District Court for Harris County, was a summer associate at a Houston civil litigation firm, and participated in an Entrepreneurship and Community Development Clinic where she assisted Houston-area entrepreneurs and nonprofit organizations by providing sound legal representation in connection with transactional law matters. She was also a finalist in the 2018 Lorance Thompson Negotiation Competition.
Outside of work, Johnie enjoys Pilates, live music, and spending time with family and friends.
