Madeline is an associate in the restructuring group of Okin Adams. Madeline’s practice primarily focuses on counseling Chapter 11 debtors, creditors, trustees, and unsecured creditor’s committees.
Prior to joining Okin Adams, Madeline served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Judge Jeffrey P. Norman in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas. During law school, Madeline served as a judicial intern with the Honorable Judge Andrew S. Hanen and the Honorable Judge David Hittner of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas. Her judicial experience allows her to understand the judicial decision-making process from the inside out. During her clerkship, Madeline was able to experience the legal arguments that resonate most effectively in court and sharpened her legal research and writing skills. Leveraging her clerkship skills, Madeline delivers well-crafted, persuasive arguments for her clients.
Madeline earned her J.D. from South Texas College of Law Houston. While in law school, she served as a member of CURRENTS: Journal of International Economic Law and as an Articles/Note Editor for the Harry Reed Institute for Oil & Gas Energy Newsletter.
