Okin Adams Attorney Participates in HBA Law Week Reading Program
According to students at St. Theresa’s Catholic School, Okin Adams attorney, JT Oldham, was a great addition to their class! On Tuesday, May 10, 2016, as part of the Houston Bar Association’s (HBA) Law Week Celebration, JT participated in the Reading Program. JT enjoys his interaction with the children and has read to them for the past five years.
In addition to JT reading to the students, he also shared with them his job responsibilities and what it takes to be an attorney. Feedback from the students and faculty was exceptional. Everyone enjoyed JT’s story reading and presentation. They were all interested and excited to hear what it’s like to be a trial attorney.
Overall, the HBA Law Week Reading Program reaches more than a hundred schools in the Greater Houston area annually. The Reading Program enlists legal professionals to read law-themed books to students and share their personal journeys of how they entered the legal profession.
